Middleton  (OO Gauge)Description  Operation Track Plan & Exhibition Space Requirements This layout was started by Gordon Middleton at his home to provide somewhere to run his large collection of models but due to his untimely death from cancer early in 2002 was never finished. His mother donated the layout to the club and several of the club members finished it off in time for the club show in September that year. The layout is a simple double track circle with a four road fiddle yard at the rear. It is am example of what can be achieved with such a simple track plan. The period is undefined so any stock can be run. Here is two picture of either end of Middleton with some
heavy freight traffic. How about a double header
This layout is usually run with only one operators as the operating space is in the centre and is rather cramped.
Track Plan & Exhibition Floor Space Requirements The layout's overall measurements are either 10ft x 5ft with an extra 2 ft is required along the front of the layout to allow for barrier space. Last Updated: 2 January, 2008 |
